- Description
- The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the license and support of software products from Sirius Software, Inc. The support shall include, but is not limited to, providing corrections to known problems encountered with existing software, providing additional functionality to the software as it becomes available in order to ensure reliability and function, and providing for the upgrade of the software products in the event of an operating system or processor change. This software is currently run on an IBM 2086-260 enterprise server, located at the Justice Data Center - Washington D.C., but is planned to be migrated to a IBM 2098-E10 (Q02 capacity setting) enterprise server before September 1, 2009. The software must be capable of running under the z/OS mainframe operating system. No solicitation document exists. Interested parties must respond with a written statement of capability that convincingly demonstrates that they possess extensive experience with providing Sirius software licenses and support. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids, and cost or pricing data is not solicited. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated period of performance under any resultant contract will be one year from the date of award with four (4) one-year option periods to extend the term of the contract.
