Description
FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT Dylan Chung, AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AN DESC This is a Market Survey to establish sources for manufacturing or supplying an alternate PCMCIA Data Transfer Card (PDTC). The PDTC is a 2 GB industrial grade, Commercial off-the-shelf(COTS) memory circuit card assembly used on the AH-64 Apache Helicopter to store and retrieve map and mission data. The PDTC must be flight qualified and shall have the capability to execute the destructive zeroize instruction set that is imbedded into the firmware of the PDTC controller when the PDTC destructive zeroize command is received from aircraft systems. The U.S. Army is planning to procure 358 PDTCs on a sole source basis from Silicon Systems, p/n SSD-PO2GI-3068. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of this item are not available from the U.S. Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing this unit must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA C-E LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AN, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the existing units. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that this item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
