- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to award on a sole source basis to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Dr, Foster City, CA 94404-1128, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the following Reagents/Biological Materials: Item#N8080018MuLV Reverse Transcriptase, 5000 Units, 150 ea; Item#N8080119, Rnase Inhibitor, 200 Units, 270 ea; Item#4337450, Seq Kit - Big Dye 1.1 Terminator Kit, 100 rx/kit, 375 ea; Item#403044, Seq Kit - dRhodimmine Dye Terminator Kit, 100 rx/kit, 15 ea; Item# N8080241, Taq Gold 250 Units, Buffer II, 5 U/ul, 210 ea; Item#4368702, Power SYBR Green Master Mix (5 ea/pg), 123 ea; Item#4305719, TaqMan Universal PCR Master Mix (10 ea/pg), 26 ea; Item#4364343, TaqMan Universal PCR Master Mix (5 ea/pg), 18 ea; Item#4303442, dNTP Mix w/Dttp, 12 PAQ, 12 X 1 ml, 10 Mm, 15 ea; Item#N8080095, dNTPs, 4-Vial Set w/duTP, 10 mM, 320 ul, 15 ea; Item#N8080007, dNTPs, 4-Vial Set w/dTTP, 10mM, 320 ul, 60 ea; Item#N8080128, Oligo dT Primer, 0.1 ml, 195 ea; Item#8080127, Random Hexamer Primers, 0.1 ml, 105 ea, and Item#N8080161, AmpliTaq DNA Polymerase, 250 units with Buffer II, 90 ea. Quantities are estimated. This procurement will be issued as an Indefinite Delivery/Quantity-Requirements contract for a period of one (1) year. Items will be ordered on an as needed basis. These reagents/biological materials are required for on-going research projects and must be purchased from existing source in order to avoid introduction of new variables into the experimental results. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 10 days of date of notice to Melissa Gentry, Contracting Officer, at the address listed below for consideration by the agency. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Applied Biosystems. This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures- Commercial Item Test Program in conjunction with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items.
