Description

The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order with Rolls Royce Commercial Marine for the following: Two (2) Prop Shaft Seal Sets Imperial 216 P/N: UML-D8202363. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.320-1(a)(2)(iii) – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Rolls Royce Commercial Marine is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to service the required systems. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For information concerning the acquisition, contact Mr. Douglas G.
