Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation # 25174PCARD26 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The incorporated document and provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33, and DFARS Change Notice 20090115. This action is set aside for small businesses. This requirement is being synopsized as a competitive, small business set-aside acquisition under the North American Industry Classification System code 334511, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement for: Requirements - Five radar systems - One black box radar sensor w/ 24 inch radome antenna (36 mile range), 24 RPM - Four radar sensors w/ 3.5 or 4 ft open antennas (48 or 64 mile range), 24 RPM - Five multi-function displays Four 10.4" Displays One 8” Monitor - Minimum Capabilities - Display charts or radar - Split screen displays - USB interfaces - NMEA interfaces - Ethernet interface - Generate, display, and output target tracks - Receive, process GPS and AIS data - Units must be able to send & receive track messages to external units - Track messages must utilize non-proprietary format, and be based upon maritime industry standards protocol - Ethernet based - AIS messages and NMEA format (NMEA 0183 and/or NMEA 2000) - Interface control document required to interface with external device - One GPS heading sensor w/ NMEA Ethernet interface - Five Class A AIS w/ NMEA Ethernet interface Delivery Date: The required delivery date for this acquisition is Sept 1, 2009. Partial deliveries prior to Sept 1, 2009 are acceptable. Acceptance and Delivery will be to: Receiving Officer Supply Department, Bldg 665 Patuxent River NAS, MD 20670
