- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is W911S1-09-T-0035. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-34 effective 01 July 2009. FedBizOps Numbered Notes per FAR Part 5.207-13(e) apply: 12 and 13. This requirement is being solicited as a small business set-aside and the size standard is $7.0 million. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 811121, Automotive Body, Paint and Interior Repair & Maintenance. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7532, Top, Body, and Upholstery Repair Shops and Paint Shops. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be made to the proposal which offers the best value to the government. The Government also reserves the right to make no award at all. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The contractor shall provide all parts, labor, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to do the following work on (1) one 5 ton truck tractor and (1) one cargo truck in accordance with the attached specifications and statement of work: Prep the vehicles for sandblasting. Sandblast the vehicles to remove rust. Prep the vehicles for painting. Prime and paint the vehicles using Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) water based paint as specified. This requirement needs to be completed within 30 days.
