Description
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is requesting information regarding Parking Lot Sealing and Striping for our Austin Submission Processing Center located in Austin, Texas. The parking lot is approximately 73,000 square feet. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment (except otherwise provided), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure effective performance of all services described herein. Neyra Jennite Asphalt Emulsion or an approved equivalent shall be used. Contractor duties shall consist of the following: 1) Assisting the IRS with closing-off the parking lot and maintaining barricades, as needed; 2) Noting the line colors, numbering schemes, and other markings; 3) Preparing surfaces for seal coat, to include the removal of dirt and loose materials and the treatment of oil and grease; 4) Applying seal coat to a minimum thickness of 1/8"; 5) Repainting all lines and other markings; 6) Removing all waste material and debris; and 7) Assisting the IRS with re-opening the parking lot. The government anticipates that working hours will be Fridays from 6:00pm to 11:59pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00am to 10:00pm. The length of time to complete all work shall be no longer than 30 calendar days, and work will consist of three (3) phases (one phase each weekend for three (3) weekends). At any given time, no more than 1/3 of the lot shall be closed, and the lot shall be available for use the Monday after each work weekend. Contractor shall abide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to the requirements of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. CCR registration must remain current throughout the period of performance. Contractors interested in providing this service are requested to submit written Capability Statements within the time allowed for responses. Each Capability Statement shall include performance information relating to same/similar services provided to either the government or general public. To reiterate, this is a Sources Sought request, which will serve as part of the government's market research/survey. This is not a solicitation for quotations and/or proposals.
