JOFOC SOW Synopsis: HRB5 Document Type: Presolicitation Notice Solicitation No. 70850 Posted Date: July 7, 2009 Opening Response Date: Closing Response Date: July 27, 2009 Classification: NAICS Code: 541712 Contracting Office Address Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Procurement and Grants Office (Atlanta), 2920 Brandywine Road, Room 3000, Atlanta, GA 30341-4146 Description Title: Tuberculosis Trials Consortium (TBTC) Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) Project NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate a sole source with Johns Hopkins Center for Tuberculosis Rearch, Baltimore, MD. The CDC will egenerate a dataset of MIC data for a subset of isolates from participants from an on-going TBTC Study using the agar proportion method to allow comparison with MIC results, on the same isolates obtained, using the Alamar Blue Colorimetric Assay. The anticipated performance period is seven months. Specifically, the contractor shall perform the following tasks of this project, which is attached. CDC intends to negotiate this requirement with HRET under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and HHSAR 306.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses should be received by the July 28, 2009, at 4 PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST). All responses must be in writing and can be sent via email to hrb5@cdc.gov or fax to 770-488-2883.
