SUBJECT: Interior Carpeting of Head Quarters Building and Maintenance Shop Office, Lake Sonoma, Warm Springs Dam Project CONTRACTOR: CONTRACTOR POC: USACE TECHNICAL POC: Erik Beer USACE, Lake Sonoma 3333 Skaggs Springs Road Geyserville, Ca. 95441 Phone: (707) 431-4512 Fax: (707) 431-0313 Email: erik.j.beer@spd02.usace.army.mil 1.0 General Information 1.1 Provide interior carpeting of head quarters building and maintenance shop office at US Army Corps of Engineers, Lake Sonoma, Warm Springs Dam, 3333 Skaggs Springs Road, Geyserville CA 95441. 707-431-4590. 2.0 Description of Work and Services Contractor will: 2.1 Perform work in sections. One section will be cleared of furniture, existing carpet will be removed, new carpet installed in its place, and furniture re-positioned, prior to another section of carpet being installed. A schedule of section-by -section work will be created by the contractor in order to minimize disruption to Lake Sonoma staff and work stations. 2.2 Clear each section to be re-carpeted of all furniture, desks, filing cabinets, tables, chairs etc., in a manner that does not impede movement or create any safety hazard. 2.3 Remove and properly dispose of existing carpet off US Army Corps of Engineers property. 2.4 Provide approximately 3800 square feet of interior carpeting which meets or exceeds current industry standards and US Army Corps of Engineer regulations and guidelines, regarding the quality of all products applied, the quality of equipment, tools, and gear used, and the quality of safety procedures practiced. 2.5 Re-position all furniture, filing cabinets, desks, tables, chairs, etc., after completion of new carpet installation. 2.6 Provide all labor and resources, equipment, tools, safety gear, and carpeting supplies necessary to successfully complete the work. 2.7 Insure the proper wear and use of personal protective equipment as outlined in US Army Corps of Engineers Manual 385-1-1, Safety and Health Requirements. 2.8 Provide thorough clean-up and removal of all equipment, tools, safety gear, and carpeting supplies from US Army Corps of Engineers property upon conclusion of work. 2.9 Perform work during normal business hours, 8 am to 5 pm. 2.10 The US Army Corps of Engineers retains the right to further refine tasks as well as add new ones, and orders for additional needed materials and services. 3.0 SCHEDULE 3.1 Contractor will perform furniture removal of each section to be re-carpeted within 1, 8 hour day. 3.2 Contractor will perform removal of existing carpet of each section to be re- carpeted within 1, 8 hour day. 3.3 Contractor will perform installation of each new carpet section within 1, 8 hour day. 3.4 Contractor will perform re-positioning of furniture of each section to be re- carpeted within 1, 8 hour day. 4.0 General Contract Requirements 4.1 All material gathered and/or developed in the performance of the tasks listed in this delivery order shall be returned as the property of the government and shall not be used or distributed by the Contractor without specific permission of USACE. 4.2 The Contractor shall take no direction from any government employee or any person other than the Contracting Officer that changes the terms and conditions of this contract action, the scope, or any change that impacts the price or schedule. Changes authorized by the Contracting Officer will be in the form of a written, official, signed modification to the contract action received by the Contractor before the Contractor will act upon those changes. The Contractor will comply with the changes clause of this contract when the Contractor believes direction has been given from persons other than the Contracting Officer that equate to a change by notifying the Contracting Officer. Any direction given by any government employee or any other person outside their authority must be reported to the Contracting Officer. Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) are limited to the authorities stated in the COR appointment letters. 5.0 ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL POINTS OF CONTACT N/A 6.0 PERIOD OF SERVICE All work including optional task items under this scope of work shall be completed within 60 days of the task order.
