- Description
- The Management and Operating contract between the U.S. Department of Energy and the Fermi Research Alliance, LLC was competitively awarded, and implements a scientific program for the exploration of the frontiers of particle physics at the DOE-owned Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory facility. As such, the strategic uncertainties of experimental research and development outcomes do not permit costs to be definitized with sufficient accuracy to facilitate award of a fixed-price contract to meet the Agency's mission needs.
