Description
On July 21, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EDT, the Program Executive Officer, Submarines will sponsor an Industry Day for the Joint Multi-Mission Submersible (JMMS) Program at the Naval Sea Systems Command located at the Washington Navy Yard, in the auditorium of building 197. The primary objective of the conference is to provide a classified forum to enable the industry engineering community to better understand the JMMS systems design requirements. The conference will focus on overall design concepts and detailed design requirements. Interested industry partners are highly encouraged to have up to a maximum of 10 individuals in their appropriate engineering disciplines in attendance. This conference is classified as SECRET and only cleared U.S. citizens may attend. The briefing will last approximately 6 hours in duration with a one hour lunch break. There will be NO opportunities for questions or discussions between individual industry representatives and Government technical Program Office representatives during the conference. The Government will; however, provide index cards to industry partners in attendance to document questions that arise during the conference. The Government will collect ALL index cards prior to the conclusion of Industry Day. The Government will respond in writing to questions submitted via index cards during the period following the JMMS Industry Day. Any further questions from industry partners that arise after the Industry Day should be submitted in response to an upcoming Draft RFP. Other than the aforementioned index cards, there will be no handout materials provided at the conference. The presentation will be posted on an electronic library after the conference. Details of this electronic library will be provided during the conference. Any notes taken at the conference must be left with the PMS 399 security representative at the conclusion of Industry Day. The notes will be mailed back to the respective attendees. Industry is reminded that they should rely solely on the final solicitation and any amendments thereto for preparation of proposal response. Attendees are required to submit a list of attendees to the Government at least five (5) days prior to Industry Day. Attendees should arrive at least one hour prior to the conference start time in order to be processed through security. The security/badging office is located in building 197 (main entrance) and a visit request form will be filled out at that time.
