Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W81NLC-9163-3001. Under the authority of FAR 13.5, the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to Hidalgo LTD of Cambridge UK, to provide technical, engineering and test support in the miniaturization of the Hidalgo Equivital EQ-01, physiological status monitoring device, to provide a long term wear soldier acceptable device for the assessment of physiological strain under different clothing and equipment configurations of warfighters in-theater. The intent of this work effort is to maintain all the capabilities and performance characteristics of the Hidalgo Equivital EQ-01, while reducing the overall surface area of the device by at least 25%, and reducing the thickness of the electronics module from 16mm to no more than 9mm. The device should also maintain the concept of a sensor electronics module that attaches to a wearable belt, which enables less durable belts to be replaced in a cost effective manner. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, via e-mail at jonathan.lehmann@us.army.mil. no later than 17 July 2009, 12:00 pm EST.
