Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single-source indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract to Aero-Dienst GmbH & Co. KG, Nuremburg, Germany. The contractor will provide aircraft maintenance/repair/servicing support for Challenger 601-3R, 604, 605, and other FAA Flight Inspection aircraft flying in the European theater and conducting flight inspection missions for the FAA and military contingency missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Aero-Dienst is a Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF) and is only one of two ASFs located in Germany and is ideally located to facilitate non-stop flights for FAA and US Air Force air crews. Estimated award date: 1 Oct 09. Planned period of performance: 5 years (base year and four option years). All interested parties are encouraged to contact the Contracting Officer cited below should your company be capable to meet this requirement. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures as well as locate additional sources capable of fulfilling future requirements.
