Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Net-Q Network Consulting for the renewal of maintenance on APPN-EE Firewall Software – Quantity of 14 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The period of performance is September 15, 2009 through September 14, 2010. This software is used on SSA’s mainframe and the type of maintenance needed is 24/7/365 technical support to include updates and fixes. This software is propriety to Net-Q Network Consulting. In addition, SSA believes that Net-Q Network Consulting is the only responsible source capable of providing maintenance, updates, and fixes. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement via email to Nichole.Mccollum@ssa.gov by July 7, 2009, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received will be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES. If no responses are received by the cutoff date, the SSA will proceed to negotiate a sole source agreement with Data Processing Techniques, Inc. The Government reserves the right not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
