Description
The Monongahela National Forest has a requirement for trail restoration on the Potomac Ranger District in Randolph County, WV. The work includes providing all labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment to restore a one mile trailo which winds around Spruce Knob Lake. The restoration project includes repairing and improving numerous boardwalks and restoring the existing trail bed/turnpike. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 DIRECTIONS TO SITE: The worksite is located within the boundaries of the Potomac Ranger District, Monongahela National Forest, in Randolph County, West Virginia. Proceed 35 miles east of Elkins, WV on U.S. 33 East to intersection of WV 55 North. Turn right and proceed 9.9 miles ono U.S. 33 East to Riverton, WV. Turn right onto Briery Gap Road CR 33/4 and proceed 2.5 miles to Forest Road 112. Continue on FR 112 approximately 8.5 miles to Forest Road 1 and continue 3/4 mile to Spruce Knob Lake Trailhead parking located near the boat launch. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 365 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. SET-ASIDE: This project is 100% set aside for small business. BONDING INFORMATION: No bid guarantee is required. Contractor will be required to furnish 100% Payment Protection in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit to the USDA, Forest Service within 10 calendar days of the date it receives notice of award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3434-S-09-0012 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotations and will be available for downloading on or around July 14, 2009 at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor.
