- NAICS Code: 721110 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4, intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order to the Galt House in Louisville, KY. This is a ynopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 13, assupplemented with additional information included in this notice. The purchase is for rental of conference room facilities for the Kentucky Governor's Emergency Management Workshop to be held July 29-31, 2009, in Louisville, KY. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1 in that the Governor's Emergency Management Workshop Planning Commettee selected the venue. The EPA is an invited participant and is not the party responsible fos selecting the venue. Since the venue was pre-determined by the Planning Committee, The Galt House is the only source reasonably available for the conference facilities. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required products are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contract Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This announcement constitutes the only notice; quotes are not being requested and a solicitation will not be issued.
