Description

Sources sought to develop and deliver modules to provide 1.5-2 student contact hours of training on snowpack assessment and ½-1 student contact hour of training on avalanche forecasting techniques to support ground maneuvers in mountainous terrain in Afghanistan. Provide and deliver modules to provide 1.25-1.5 student contact hours of introductory training on hyperspectral satellite remote sensing (HSRS) in preparation for future use of HSRS data in environmental characterization and injection of HSRS data into numerical weather prediction (NWP) models. Convert 5-8 computer-based training modules on additional meteorological subjects to Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) format for placement on Air Force Weather Knowledge Center (AFWKC) Learning Management System (LMS) to increase Air Force Weather (AFW) forecaster ability to understand atmospheric behavior. Prepare and deliver monthly status reports. Anticipated period of performance is one year.
