Description
The Contracts Department of Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC), San Diego intends to procure, in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, delivery of bottled gas products for our shore and afloat customers in the Southwest Region ranging from naval activities within the San Diego area as well as off site activities such as China Lake and Barstow, CA. Bottled gases to be procured include, but are not limited to: Acetylene, Argon, Chlorine, CO2 Gray, CO2 Red, COC2 Tech, Helium, Sulfur Hexaflouride, and other types as noted in the solicitation. In addition to the gases, the Contractor will be required to maintain an inventory of 3,000 Government provided cylinders as well as to provide Contractor owned cylinders (which are to be color coded in accordance with Government regulations). Cylinder maintenance services such as visual inspection of cylinders, hydrostatic testing of cylinders, as well as replacement of valves on cylinders will be required to be done by the Contractor. Contractor must be licensed/certified in accordance with all local city, state, federal, and EPA requirements set forth for this type of business. Contractor will be required to pickup and deliver to all sites listed in the solicitation, cylinders/gases within a 24-hour period. Quantities of cylinders to be picked up/delivered will range from a single cylinder to as many as forty cylinders at one time. Contractor must have the ability to process orders utilizing the Government-wide Commercial Credit Card (GCPC). This procurement effort is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Period of performance shall be for one year with 4, 1-year options. Single award of a Firm Fixed Price contract will be made to the Contractor that comply with/provide all items/services listed in the solicitation.
