Description
Description: The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source buy with Siemens Water Technologies Corp. of Lowell, Massachusetts, to acquire an Upgrade of the Existing Water Dialysis System, manufactured, and distributed by with Siemens Water Technologies Corp. This requirement is being procured in connection with mission objectives of the VA to provide and maintain an FDA-Registered Reverse Osmosis Hemodialysis Water Treatment at the Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital Hines, Illinois. The original equipment was purchased years ago by the VA from U.S. Filter, who has been recently purchased by Siemens Water Technologies Corp. of Lowell, Massachusetts To the best of our knowledge Siemens Water Technologies Corp. of Lowell, Massachusetts is the sole provider to perform an upgrade to the existing VA Owned equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 221310. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements aforementioned, then firms must furnish detailed information about its products and or services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and or services. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer within (7) calendar days from the date of this synopsis publication. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement, to include FDA approval/compliance certification. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5457. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Siemens Water Technologies Corp. of Lowell, Massachusetts.
