Description
The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potentialcontractors in technical support of its manufacturing science based mission toinclude the development of advanced manufacturing technology for powder processing, handling, and formulating in support of Armaments, Munitions, andEnergetic production base. The technologies shall include powdermanufacturing processes related to the scale-up and production of advancedenergetic materials and armament components including material testing and processing. The contractor shall have demonstrated expertise in the modelingand simulation of powder processes including the statistical analysis of processes with direct application to the development of control strategy forproduction of powder based materials and fundamental physics based models ofpowder flow and the required equations of state. Technologies being soughtinclude the development of placebos suitable for technique development priorto work in explosion-proof environments, and techniques and sensors for real time control of particle size and morphology. The contractor must have a demonstrated capability to train the workforce, and the ability to work closely on a daily basis with the technical staff at Picatinny Arsenal. Interested firms who feel that they are capable of producing this support are invited to indicate their interest by providing white papers within four weeks of the date of this notice to US Army ARDEC, ATTN: P.B. Black, Ph.D., Bldg.94, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, pat.black@us.army.mil. In addition, please provide the company's name, address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, size of business (small/large) and countryrepresented. This is a market survey for information only and shall not beconstrued as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the USGovernment.
