- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIRHQ), Patuxent River, MD intends to place a delivery order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0009 with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) for the procurement of Software Sustainment, Design and Development that will be guided by current specification requirements in the baseline System Design and Development (SDD) program contract, which is in place with NGSC. This requirement and BOA supports the Fire Scout Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system. As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Fire Scout UAV system, NGSC is the only firm with the requisite knowledge, data and rights to the data to fulfill this requirement. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, through the aforementioned execution of a delivery order to the existing BOA. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
