Description
RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SUSTAINMENT, RESTORATION & MODERNIZATION ACQUISITION TASK ORDER CONTRACT (SATOC). "In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Re-Investment Act of 2009, Pub.L. 111-5, the Government posts this presolicitation notice of intent to issue a task order under an established Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with the Prime Contractors presently assigned to the Sustainment, Restoration & Modernization Acquisition Task Order Contract (SATOC) which is operated by HQ AETC CONS LGCT office, c/o HQ AFCESA CONS CEKC at Tyndall AFB, FL. This project consists of providing ice making and storage capacity for various buildings at Dover Air Force Base. Ice would be made during the night when electricity is less expensive and used during peak periods of the day, thus reducing the energy cost required to cool the buildings. The scope of work required for the various buildings evaluated is noted below. All buildings to be completely integrated to the base Energy Management Control System with graphics and load shed switch. All ice systems to be controlled centrally to allow load shedding when energy manager requires. The contractor may propose equal equipment to the current system installed at the base, but it is required to provide all integration hardware, software, and components for seamless communication and operation of the EMCS system. New software shall be approved by the Air Force prior to the implementation of the project, and is the contractor's responsibility for proper coordination for acceptance of the new software, including schedule impacts due to awaiting software acceptance by the Air Force.
