Description: The US Army RDECOM CC, Natick Contracting Division, plans to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis, in accordance with FAR Part 13 to Robert A Denton, Inc. for the procurement of an anthropomorphic test device that includes the FOCUS headform to support research being conducted at the Naval Medical Center's Spatial Orientation Center (SOC) in San Diego, CA; the research being conducted will support the development of personal protective clothing and equipment, energy absorbing materials, and blast force measurement devices that will reduce warfighter facial and eye injuries. No other source is currently available that can provide an anthropomorphic headform designed to predict eye and facial injuries from warfighting and associated activities.
