- Amendment to extend the closing date and ensure the previous synopsis issued on Jun 4, 2009 is viewable by all interested parties. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Arcata Field Office, requires road maintenance on BLM-managed and adjacent property in both Mendocino and Humboldt counties, California. The contractor will furnish equipment, labor and fuel to grade soil/rock surfaced roads; replace minor culverts and other drainage features; apply water and compact soil; mow brush along roads; clear inboard ditches; remove outboard berms; remove landslides; reshape roads; perform watershed restoration activities; and excavate and screen rock on-site for road surfacing and restoration. The following are supplied with the solicitation: approximate mileage as defined on Bureau supplied maps, minimum equipment requirements as defined in the Statement of Work, and an approximate delivery schedule for specific work areas. The Government will furnish rock, culvert pipe, and other materials required to complete task orders. Mobilization and demobilization will be charged to the Government only for the initial transportation to and from the worksite. The BLM anticipates awarding a multi-award Indefinite-Delivery type contract. The period of performance is expected to be a base year of Aug 1, 2009 through Jul 31, 2010 with two one-year option periods. The estimated start date for the first task order is August 1, 2009. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The standard NAICS classification is 237310. Size standard is $33.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 4, 2009.
