- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, RABQ2090052, is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition 2005-23. The North American Industry classification (NAICS) code is 115310 and the business size maximum is $6.5 Million. The proposed contract is full and open. This office is requesting quotes on the following items: 0001 2009 North Apache Mist Mechanical Fuels Treatment Project 215 acres and the Unit is Acres. Price$________ A firm fixed price type contract shall be awarded for this project in accordance with the specifications and dimensions as stated in the Statement of Work (SOW). The period of performance (POP) is from date of Award through November 30, 2009. The SOW is as follows: Statement of Work: Perform mechanical crushing and compaction of natural slash and other forest fuels by walking heavy equipment in existing forest management units. Also fireproof the live commercials and non-commercial forest component by removing heavy fuels from the base of trees with heavy equipment. Perform both treatments in strict compliance with the terms, specifications, and provisions of this agreement.This includes the furnishing of a properly sized crawler-type tractor(s) equipped with implement(s) or attachment(s), if needed, capable of producing the treatment specification required in this agreement. The vendor will also be responsible for providing all labor, accessory equipment, supervision, tractor transportation, operating supplies, and other incidentals. Location of Project: The project area is located on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation in northwestern New Mexico. The vicinity and project maps show both the general and specific locations of the project site. Award will be based on the Best Value to the Government, overall acceptable quote, as submitted by a responsible offeror & ability to provide the above requirements.
