Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, intends to solicit for the manufacture, delivery, and installation of a new heavy duty 150 ton capacity crane on the cranebarge Veler at the Detroit Area Office at Detroit, Michigan. Crane characteristics: 150 Ton Capacity, Hydraulic, Lattice Boom, Crawler Crane, Duty Cycle. Two 44,100 lb main winches with free fall designed with 295' (+/-) of 30 mm wire rope each. Each winch must be capable of lifting 44,100 independently at the same time over the main boom point. More information about the crane requirements can be found in the solicitation documents, anticipated to be released on 1 July 2009. This project will be solicited as an unrestricted requirement, open to businesses of all sizes. The NAICS code is 333120, with a small business size of 750 employees.
