Description
SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-09-B-0022 On or about 1 July 2009, this office will issue Invitation for Bids for construction of the 47TH BCT, Wilderness Road, Intersection & Tank Trail, Project Number: PN 71208, Fort Carson, CO. The solicitation will close on or about 31 July 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION ONLY. The North American Industry Classification System code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $33,500,000 in average gross annual receipts for the past 3 fiscal years. The estimated construction cost of this project is between 10 and 15 million dollars. A site visit date will be scheduled and shown in the solicitation documents. See Section 00 21 00, Paragraph SITE VISIT for a listing of date, time, place of assembly and required paper work to access Fort Carson. Project includes replacement of approximately 4,600 L.F. of the existing Wilderness Road from the intersection of Butts Road to the west, replacement of the Butts Road and Wilderness Road intersection, and construction of a new tank trail. Wilderness Road will be widened from two lanes to four and a new traffic circle will replace the existing intersection. Tank trail construction will include building a new aggregate tank trail adjacent to the existing tank trail and resurfacing the existing tank trail with concrete. Approximate length of each tank trail is 10,100 L.F. Incidental utility work is included in the project due to road and tank trail widening.
