Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Logistics Service Area (ELSA), has a requirement for construction of an Asphalt Pavement Access Road to Serve the Woodrum VOR at the Roanoke Airport, Roanoke, VA. It is the intent of the FAA to award a contract on a competitive basis to an eligible 8(a) business concern, provided that adequate competition is received and award can be made at a fair price. If circumstances do not permit an 8(a) award, the responsive offers for the first tier will be included in the evluation of a middle tier. The Government intends to award a contract on a competitive basis to an eligible small business concern, provided that adequate competition is received and award can be made at a fair market price. If circumstances do not permit an award in the middle tier, the FAA intends to award a contract on the basis of full and open competition from amoung all responsible, responsive offers received providing award can be made at a fair market price. Estimated cost is between $50,000.00 and $100,000.00. All required documents are attached. This notice is for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small business owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
