Description
Construct new 3700 NSF single story brick/masonry and structural steel addition to building 402. Finishes in the project include: carpet, resilient athletic flooring, acoustical ceiling tile system, paint, ceramic tile and vinyl wall covering. New single-ply roofing system to be installed and include skylights. Complete plumbing system to be installed including lavatories, water closets, sinks, piping and floor drains. Automatic sprinkler system to be installed and tied into current medical center fire alarm system. New HVAC system to be included in project to consist of air handling unit, VAV boxes, hot water piping, ductwork, diffusers and related components. Electrical system to include new secondary electrical panels, cabling, wiring devices, lighting and communication/data cabling and raceway. This construction project is set-aside for Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on/about June 29, 2009 with the bid opening on/about July 29, 2009. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to VOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $31.0 Million applies. Time for completion is 240 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
