Description
The Deparrtment of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and response (ASPR), Biomedical Advanced Research and Development authority (BARDA) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). AAAS will provide the overall scientific and medical policy, professional and technical development guidelines, and administration and management of Science and Technology Policy Fellowships at HHS/ASPR/BARDA. This fellowship program is designed for U.S. citizens with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral-level degree and individuals with a master's degree in the medical sciences and at least three years of post-degree experience. This program will provide scientists with exposure to policy and planning processes, integration of scientific and technical knowledge into government development, and experience in interacting with a wide range of individuals in the public and private sectors. No solicitation is available for this procurement, however sources that believe they meet the capabilitities and requirements to perform the work described above may submit a one page capability statement to Deborah Patrick at Deborah.Patrick@hhs.gov by 3:30 p.m. EST on Monday, June 22, 2009.
