Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and another written solicitation will not be issued. Consider this solicitation (# 09SQ108000) as a request for quotations. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in Federal Acquisition Circular 32. Quotations in response to this solicitation are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, June 19, 2009. The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, 1150 N Curtis Road, Boise, ID 83706, acting as the procurement agent for the Columbia Basin Job Corps Center, 6739 24th St, Bldg 2402, Moses Lake, WA 98837, has issued this solicitation or Request for Quotation (RFQ) 09SQ108000 for equipment that incorporates both aspects of exercise and gaming. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13 procedures. Important Notices: 1) The contractor must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award; 2) Submission of quotes must be in accordance with the RFQ solicitation; and 3) the anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract based on the Best Value to the Government. This acquisition is to be set aside 100% for Small Business. The NAICS code is 423910. The Small Business size standard is 100 employees. Questions regarding this solicitation for quotations should be directed to the Point of Contact person noted in this solicitation. STATIONARY FITNESS EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS Columbia Basin Job Corps Center (CBJCC) is seeking to procure interactive fitness equipment in order to provide challenging and interesting ways to encourage young students to get in shape. The CBJCC is a residential training facility that provides 16 to 24 year old young adults an opportunity to obtain an education and trade. The center requires exercise systems that combine both aspects of exercise and gaming. The following describes the equipment; a total of five (5) individual machines. One (1) each - BluFit by Cobalt Flux - Interactive Wireless DDR Arcade 1 Multiplayer Dance System (Brand Name or Equal) - interactive wireless multiplayer dance system, real-time feedback, ability to add future releases, expandable (ability to add players), used with other software games, scores are displayed on a screen so participants can measure their performance. The system shall also include different levels of difficulty. Two (2) each - Dogfight - Active Gaming Flight Simulator (Brand Name or Equal) - full featured flight simulator interfaced with high-end exercise bike. Display must include a variety of landscapes - required to interact with second dog-fighting machine. One (1) each - Makoto Sports Arena (Brand Name or Equal) - triangle configuration with 6-foot posts in each corner - using hands, feet, and /or staff, participants respond to audio and visual prompts from each post. Reaction time and accuracy (hitting the lighted area) are measured electronically so participants can compete with one another. Speed of prompts needs to be easily adjusted for varying abilities. One (1) each - Skywall Rotating Climbing Wall (Brand Name or Equal) - motorized, conveyor-type, vertical rotating climbing wall - approx size: 122"H X 83"W X 55" D - must be able to adjust incline throughout climb in order to simulate the curvatures of a true rock accent - various speeds and incline levels - continuous motion - color coded rocks that can be placed in various positions. The delivery or FOB point is the Columbia Basin Job Corps Center, 6739 24th Street, Bldg 2402, Moses Lake, WA, 98837. On-site installation and training are to be included as part of the quotation. The expected delivery date is July 31, 2009. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Past performance - list three orders (government or commercial) of similar scope during the past three years in which similar equipment was delivered, installed and personnel trained - include client name, description of the equipment involved, order value, and a contact name and telephone number; (2)On-site installation and follow-up support once equipment placed in service; (3)Descriptive literature; (4) Delivery - enter number of days to deliver ARO: ___________; (5)Price; (6)Warranty - extent of warranty coverage and length of warranty period. Past performance, on-site set-up, descriptive literature and delivery combined are equal to, or greater, in importance than price alone.
