- RECOVERY" - PAVING IMPROVEMENTS & MODIFICATIONS AT THE FORT WORTH AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER (ARTCC) NOTICE OF AMERICAN AND RECOVERY AND INVESTMENT ACT A contract awarded under this SIR will require products and services that are funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Recovery Act requires special reporting from both the contractors and the FAA. Timeliness and accuracy of the data is critical. All interested vendors need to be thoroughly familiar with all applicable clauses and their requirements prior to submitting a proposal. Please be aware that all reporting requirements will be strictly enforced throughout the life of the contract. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified paving contractors interested in providing offers for the pavement improvements and modifications of approximately 6 acres (driveways and parking lots) located at the Fort Worth ARTCC, 13800 FAA Road, Fort Worth, Texas. Work will consist of, but is not limited to miscellaneous demolition, including removal of top 24 inches of remnant concrete piers at five locations; backfill and sod, asphalt paving using milling process, installing new asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, and restoration of selective asphalt areas by using the chip seal process. Included in the scope of work are concrete curb and gutters, concrete drain weirs, concrete ramps and sidewalks, parking peninsulas and a new ADA compliant ramp. 1.Contract performance time is 90 days2.Projected date to issue solicitation is week of June 22, 20093.This procurement is total Small Business Set Aside 4.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237310 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million.5.The dollar range for this project is between $750,000.00 and $1,200,000.006.A mandatory (pre-bid) meeting will be conducted on June 30, 2009, at the Fort Worth ARTCC. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award. Further information will be contained in the solicitation package.7.Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees8.Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. INSTRUCTIONS TO RECEIVE SOLICITATION PACKAGE Interested firms must submit a request for the solicitation package and a listing of similar comparable projects performed over the past 3 years. You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a point of contact and phone number. You must also submit the attached Business Declaration Form. Everything must be submitted to the Contracting Officer no later than 4:00 PM on June 18, 2009.
