Description

Attachments 3 through 10 Solicitation (39 pages) NOTE: This requirement is located at Ft. Detrick, MD, on the campus of the National Cancer Institute - Frederick. This is a Design/Build requirement to replace two (2) 100 ton R-11 centrifugal chillers in the basement of Building 550 and replace a 200 ton cooling tower outside Building 550 with one (1) new 450 ton centrifugal chiller and 450 ton cooling tower. Contractor shall install and reconfigure new secondary chilled water pumps to enable the new Building 550 chiller to export chilled water to NCI-Frederick Chiller Plant #3. Contractor shall replace and reconfigure secondary pumps in Building 560 to supply chilled water to NCI-Frederick Chiller Plant #3. The Solicitation document and Attachments 3-10 are attached to this notice. The specification and drawings (Attachments 1 and 2) are available on disk and may be obtained by calling Ms. Cheryl Charles, 301-846-1460, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Disks will be forwarded via overnight delivery upon providing a valid Federal Express or UPS account number. Disks may also be picked up in person at SAIC-Frederick, Inc., 1050 Boyles Drive, Room 101, Frederick, MD 21702 at Ft. Detrick. A Pre-Bid Site Visit will be held Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1:30 PM at NCI-Frederick, Fort Detrick, Building 350, Conference Room A, in Frederick, MD. Contract will be awarded on a best value approach utilizing a lowest price / technically acceptable process (Refer to Section M).
