Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912QR-09-tuscaloosa. This modification includes a more specific description of services wanted. Construct an Armed Forces Reserve Center (ARFC). Primary facilities include land acquisition, an AFRC training building, Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA), unheated storage building, and organizational parking. Square footages are as follows: Training Building: 66,742 SF Maintenance Building: 12,792 SF Unheated Storage: 1,070 SF (included as additional space in the Training Building) The training building will provide administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, weapons vault, weapons simulator, and physical fitness areas for the Army Reserve and Alabama Army National Guard. The maintenance shop will provide work bays and maintenance administrative support, including support for a 10-ton crain. The project will also provide adequate parking space for all military and privately-owned vehicles. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and extension of utilities to serve project. Force protection (physical security) measures have been incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distances cannot be maintained. Air Conditioning (Estimated 115 Tons).
