- SOURCES SOUGHT - This is NOT a Solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (8(a), HubZone, or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)) relative to the NAICS Code 238320(size Standard of $14 Million). Responses to this sources sought notice shall not constitute responses to solicitation, which is not currently available. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely the Government's discretion. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential Sources (8(a), HubZone, or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)) that may be interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought notice and respondents will not be notified of the results of any government assessments. This information will be utilized to assist in formulating the strategy for competitive procurement. Facilities, Engineering, and Acquisition Division (FEAD)is seeking viable business sources for Painting Transformers and High Voltage switch enclosures under a fixed price contract. The work includes the provision of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies and supervision to paint 30 Padmount transformers and High voltage switch enclosures at the Naval Complex Newport Rhode Island. All Personnel need to be qualified/certified for working with hazardous materials, energized or partially energized substations and comply with the latest applicable OSHA standards 29 CFR 1910 and 1926. Interested parties are requested to submit a Capability Statement that exhibits clear and convincing evidence of your firm's capabilities to perform this work. The statement must provide a summary of relevant experience and knowledge that addresses the scope of work. Responses are to be emailed to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Joseph Almeida, joseph.almeida1@navy.mil by 4:00 PM on 18 June 2009.
