Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Government intends to award a fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with a three year ordering period for base plates in accordance with Drawing 3837AS105 REV B and top plates in accordance with Drawing 3837AS104. The drawings contain information that has been designated as Military Critical Technical Data. Prospective contractors must be certified under the Joint Certification Program in an active status in order to receive the drawings. The initial order will be for a minimum of 1,200 of the top plates and 1,200 of the base plates. The contract maximum over the three year ordering period will be for 8,000 top plates and 8,000 base plates. Inspection/acceptance shall be at destination for production units and first articles if required. Transportation shall be FOB destination NSWC Crane. The required delivery date for the first article will be 25 days from date of award. Production units shall be 25 days from date of order. This procureme! nt is not for commercial items and FAR Part 12 procedures will not be used. The applicable NAICS Classification is 334418 and the size standard is 500. The Navy intends to solicit and negotiate this contract as a 100% set aside for Small Businesses. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor on the basis of best value considering past performance and price related factors. The solicitation will be issued on or about 24 June 2009 and will close on or about 24 July 2009.
