- This Amendment A0001 to Solicitation No. DTRT57-08-Q-80061 is effective June 09, 2009.This Amendment A0001 is issued to provide answers to the following questions for Solicitation No. DTRT57-09-Q-80061, and to extend the response due date from 2:00 PM Eastern Time on 06/12/2009 to 2:00 PM Eastern Time 06/17/2009. For clarification purposes, this solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. Note, any proposal that does not provide pricing for all CLINS and the total amount of all CLINS shall be considered non-responsive. Q1. You write that the audience for the presentation skills coaching has a mainly info systems and engineering background and their purpose or the purpose of the Volpe Center is to provide technical & professional date to a variety of audiences?Can you tell me about your group who needs the training: To what degree are their messages clear? A1. The message is most often clear - the data collected, options examined, policy implications, proposed solution. Q2. Do they deliver presentations to inform, update & educate, as well as persuade propose and influence? More one than the other? A2. No, both are equal. Q3. How well do they read their audiences in preparing to deliver those presentations? A3. Ability varies. Q4. It looks like the program for July '09 is a pilot, is that right? The reason I ask is that you write that, 'There will be options to conduct 2 sessions per fiscal year thereafter?' A4. The first session is not a pilot. Subsequent sessions are contingent upon available funds and demand. Q5. Do you have a tentative date for this July '09 session? A5. Mid-July, but schedule can be flexible. Q6. Do you have a tentative date for the November '09 session? A6. Early November, but schedule can be flexible. Q7. When will the award be announced? A7. Unknown. Q8. Will there be specific development concerns associated with this training? A8. The Government will provide samples of presentations to help the vendor understand tailor training materials to the Volpe Center (at time of purchase order award). Q9. Where will the training take place? A9. At the Volpe Center, 55 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142. Q10. How many people will attend each training? A10. Up to 15 attendees per event as stated in the Statement of Work (SOW). Q11. If the number of participants is indefinite, how do we submit our bid to cover the participant materials? Is it acceptable to give a quote for the training and then a per person amount for materials? A11. The number of participants is not indefinite; it is for up to 15 attendees per session. Q12. Are you looking for a commercial quote that addresses all the tasks in the statement of work or do you have a specific format that must be followed in order for our bid to be considered? A12. Offerors must provide a response that is in accordance with the Statement of Work. Q13. Is there a certain order that should be followed proved the information requested in the solicitation? A13. Offerors must provide a response that is in accordance with the Statement of Work.
