- SOLICITATION NO. 301819Q387 PROJECT TITLE: Iron and Steel, Pipe and Tube Manufacturing Adaptable Materials from Purchased Steel for a Boardwalk PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Materials to build a Boardwalk. This section covers general specifications and materials needed to specify hardware, framing, decking, guardrails, and appurtenant items necessary for the manufacture and delivery of the boardwalk of the size and configuration shown on the attached drawing. The boardwalk shall be a low impact design requiring all loads to be supported on a series of spread footings or other means necessary to distribute total loads of the structure. Suppliers providing boardwalks that require ground disturbance will be rejected. The boardwalk will be constructed of steel framing and posts and composite wood decking, curbing and guardrails. A firm-fixed price supply/delivery contract is contemplated that will require performance and payment bonding to cover the estimated ceiling magnitude cost of the project. This procurement is issued unrestricted and available to full and open competition. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 331210 Iron and Steel Pipe and Tube Manufacturing from Purchased Steel with a Small Business size standard of 1,000 Employees The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about June 25, 2009 with Quotes due on or about July 13, 2009 at 5:00pm (CDT) Please ensure you have a complete downloaded Solicitation Package and all required documents before submitting your Quote. A Hard Copy of the RFQ package will NOT be mailed unless specifically requested. It is the vendor's responsibility to ensure all required solicitation documents are submitted along with quote for consideration.
