Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a firm-fixed price contract with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, for the procurement of EA-18G Full-Rate Production (Lots 33 - 35) Airborne Electronic Attack Kits and associated requirements including systems engineering, non-recurring engineering and/or material, production management, and data in support of these items and engineering changes to the baseline configuration. The base quantity for this procurement is 22 units in FY2009, with options for 22 units in FY2010 and 10 units in FY2011, respectively. McDonnell Douglas is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft and is the only known source with the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G peculiar engineering data, capability, and expertise required to fulfill NAVAIR’s minimum requirements within the time required.
