Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office (SCRO), Dallas, Texas, intends to issue solicitation RFQ 50020-0001-9 for the provision of Two Short Term Sentence Specialists for the Community Corrections Office in San Antonio, Texas. It is anticipated that multiple awards will be made; however, the Government reserves the right to make a single award if such action is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The specialists working under the contract must possess a thorough knowledge of the SENTRY computer system. The duties shall consist of the following: 1) Create inmate files. Review and verify documents. File maintenance, accountability, archiving, etc. 2) Review incoming pipeline and coordinate inmate movement between facilities. Process detainers and coordinate with detaining authorities, etc. 3) Enter applicable SENTRY codes into computer system. and completeness are paramount. 4) Screen contacts with Federal, State, and Local Criminal Justice Systems as well as families, attorneys, and private organizations or individuals. 5) Liaison with courts, contract facilities, and federal agencies. 6) Process/forward/answer mail and correspondence related to inmates incarcerated. It is estimated the contract will include 384 sessions per specialists for a total of 768 sessions for the base year and 1,375 sessions per specialist for a total of 2,748 sessions for option year 1. Each session is six (6) hours in length. The contractor(s) will work approximately 30 hours per week. Sessions will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. The contract period shall consist of date of award through September 30, 2009 and one 12-month option period for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about Tuesday June 16, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is Monday, June 29, 2009. The solicitation is a small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contract for which they are eligible.
