Description
Dear Prospective Offerors: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION INTRODUCTION The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), operated by Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division (Battelle) for the United States Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking information on commercially available, government available or near-commercial technologies to gain information about commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS) and near commercial Audio Visual products. The following capabilities, in a non-prioritized order, are of specific interest to PNNL: Summary: Interactive Power Wall (IPW) to support advanced research in data analytics, information visualization, scientific visualization, and data intensive, high-end computing while also providing an interactive visual environment that support research in bioinformatics, climate modeling, sub-surface sciences, and intelligence analysis. The IPW will support at least 26 display inputs with display outputs configurable for a seamless overlapping display and at least 2 other switchable outputs. The system must have support for several scalable picture in picture inputs. Minimum Requirements: • Support for a pre-installed StewartFilm Starglass 60 screen approximately 7 feet tall by 16 feet wide. • 12 rear projected 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 displays will comprise the display area. • The display area must be overlapped to produce a seamless visualization surface across the entire screen. • Video switching supporting two sets of 12 inputs with support for at least an additional 4 picture in picture inputs. • Input sources will include but are not limited to *(2) laptop sources (one analog and one DVI), *A twelve source display from a high performance workstation to support the full native resolution of the system *A twelve source display from an NVIDIA cluster to support the full native resolution of the system.
