- Title: Excitation System Replacement, Nimbus Powerplant, American River Division - Folsom Unit, Central Valley Project, California No: 09SP200121 PSC Z299 The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed-price construction contract for the Excitation System Replacement at the Nimbus Powerplant. More specific requirements are listed below. The will be performed at the Nimbus Dam on the American River, which is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Sacramento, California in Sacramento County. The NAICS Code is: 237990 and the related small business size standard is $33.5 million. This procurement is full and open and not set-aside. Solicitation 09SP200121 will be posted on or about July 10, 2009. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately August 10, 2009. The solicitation must be downloaded at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Except for drawings, no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Offerors wishing to acquire the drawings must register on the bidder's list at the above website. The drawings, specifications, and bidder's list will only be available once the solicitation is posted. The estimated value of this acquisition is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award. Remove and dispose of existing voltage regulating equipment, cabinets, cables, and instrumentation not to be reused.B. Furnish and install two fully static digital excitation systems including power potential transformers, interrupter switches, excitation power circuit breakers, 5-kilovolt power cable for excitation AC supply, cable for DC connection to machine field and other associated equipment.C. Furnish and install control wire and associated conduits or wireways for control, protection and alarm circuits from excitation system equipment to interface terminal blocks within unit control board.D. Furnish spare parts for excitation systems.
