- Description
- The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research which will be used to formulate an acquisition strategy to support services for the Headquarters Marine Corps AR-4 Visual Information System. The Regional Contracting Office, National Capital Region (RCO-NCR) is requesting responses from qualified businesses holding GSA Schedule 58. The anticipated NAICS code for this effort is 811213, however, firms should identify alternate qualifying codes with their submission should they not currently possess the cited code. The overarching mission of the HQMC Combat Camera (AR-4) is to oversee the operational readiness of the Marine Corps National Capital Region (NCR) VI equipment and to ensure its availability for the Commandant, Assistant Commandant, and HQMC Departments and Staff Agencies. The performance objective is to provide preventative maintenance (PM) through on-site, qualified staff possessing at least a secret clearance. Responsibilities include general installation, quarterly PM, design and layout of new equipment suites, and repair services for the Marine Corps' NCR VI equipment and AR-4's intranet. In order to capture the aforementioned objectives, the contractor shall provide all the necessary labor to perform the installation, maintenance, VI engineering and repair services of all equipment. Work efforts will be coordinated by the government staff at the Navy Annex in Arlington, VA. Responses to this RFI shall not exceed five (5) pages, including cover letter and contact information. Subject response must contain: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate performance acumen directly related to the objectives of the Marine Corps' NCR VI equipment and AR-4's intranet Maintenance Program; (2) Discussion of staff qualifications and related quality processes; (3) Link to the respondent's GSA Schedule, or attached file of same; and (4) Citation of any current, or past customers (i.e., within the past 2 years) to include contract number, point of contact telephone number or e-mail address. Response is due by Tuesday, June 10, 2009. Please submit e-mail responses to Peggy Pennie at e-mail address Peggy.Pennie@usmc.mil. NOTE: This Request for Information is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. Issuance of this notice does not constitute an obligation on the part of the Government to procure these services or to issue a solicitation. No solicitation document exists at this time; only the companies who respond to this RFI (providing well documented submissions) will be considered candidates to receive the potential solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
