Description
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-West, Presidio of Monterey has a requirement for the Replacement of Windows at the US Army Reserve Center in Vallejo, CA. The work consists of, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to remove and replace the existing windows and frames. Completely remove and dispose of all known hazardous Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) identified by the USAR ACM Management Report and independent analysis in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws governing asbestos abatement and disposal. Construct containment enclosures, remove ACM Materials and collect for disposal. All window frames will be new anodized bronze aluminum, 2 fixed panes with 1 bottom swing in awning section. Glass will be 1 over all thick, with 1/4 laminated glass on exterior, air space in center and Solarban 60 glass, or approved equal. Awning part of window will have an insect screen that matches the window frame in color, and be securely fastened to the outside frame. Frames will be thoroughly attached to the building as recommended by the manufacturer. All frames to be caulked inside and out. All caulking will be bronze in color to match the framing. All operations necessary to accomplish the work will be done in accordance with the project Scope of Work, Drawings, Solicitation, Amendments and Resulting Contract. Solicitation number W9124N-09-R-0035 will be available on or about 16 June 2009. A MANDATORY SITE VISIT is scheduled for Tuesday 23 June 2009 at 9:00am (PST). Site Visit location is: U. S. Army Reserve Center Vallejo, 120 Mini Drive, Vallejo, CA 94589. The primary Site Visit POC is Gary Van Tassel, 707-342-0722; gary.vantassel@usar.army.mil. Alternate Site Visit POC: Kent Jackson 562-795-2098 or cell 562-235-9967. Only contractors that sign in during the mandatory site visit will be considered for this acquisition. Proposals are due Tuesday, 30 June 2009 at 4:30 pm (PST). This acquisition is a 100 percent set aside for small business concerns only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238990 with a size standard of $14.0M. Performance period is 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Payment and performance bonds are required for this project and must be submitted within fifteen days after contract award. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract.
