- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3ZT939140A001; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-32, effective 14 May 2009 & (FAC) 2005-31, Effective 20 Apr 2009, Defense DCN 20090115, and AFAC 2009-0318 effective Mar 18, 2009. This acquisition will be a Total Small Business Set Aside; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333999. The business size standard is 500. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 3990. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3599. This request for quotation consists of the following: CLIN 0001 (14 each): Forklift Truck Attachment (Pintle Hook Adapter); For use with 10K AT Forklift John Deere or similar; mounted on forklift tines when they are closed to max extent possible; allowing forklift to push or pull any type of Pintle equipment up to 10,000 pounds. Box type adapter that will slide over the forklift tines with them in the together most position. One side of the attachment will be open. ¾" Hot rolled steel for top, bottom, sides, and front plates (4)ea ½" Grade 8 fastening bolts for Pintle hook (1)ea 15 Ton capacity Pintle hook with 6,000lb max vertical load capacity and 30,000lb max trailer weight for use with drawbars with eye dimensions of 2" to 3" I.D. and 1 ¼" to 1 5/8" diameter ring material thickness. Pintle hook must include lanyard on its safety pin. And include safety pin. (4)ea Grade 8 pinch bolts to take up fork tipping slack, these bolts would need to be on the lower side of the adapter protruding into the tine compartments, two on each side where the forklift tines would occupy in strait line from front to rear of the tine holes. Need to be adjustable. (2)ea Integrated clevis' rated at 15,000lb each, these would be mounted to the rear of the adapter allowing easy access to tie down points on the forklift and be used to secure the adapter to the forklift. (2)ea Hot rolled mild steel carrying handles / safety chain fastening points, these would be mounted on the top surface of the adapter left and right sides. Capacity Data Plate stamped permanently on unit designating the unit's capacities and limitations Pintle Hook attached to the front face of the adapter and also be above the upper surface to allow access to the Pintle mounting bolts. Must have two handles on upper side on opposite ends to allow transport with 1 or 2 people. Handles rated for at least the weight of the product. Product must not exceed 228 Pounds as to allow usage with two people. Not to exceed 14 inches in length not including the Pintle hook. Not to be wider than 29 inches. Primed and painted to prevent corrosion. Must have one or two rings/clevises that will allow the adapter to be secured to the forklift using 3/8" grade 70 chains. Total height of 8 inches to include Pintle mounting bracket and also to include handles but not to include Pintle Hook. Rear of the adapter must be open to accommodate fork lift tines that are 8.5 inches in width and 2.5 inches thick. IMPORTANT (forklift tines can only come together a certain amount, the gap between forklift tines is 9 inches.) Need to have to separate compartments for the forklift tines to slide into to allow better stability when moving heavy loads. Compartment interior needs to measure 2.88 inches high, 9.25 inches in width. Depth of about 10 inches. Openings for the forklift tines must be able to fit for a forklift that can only close its tines down to 9 inches. Please provide a photo, sketch, or diagram of product with the quote.
