Description
The purpose of this notice is to announce CDC's intent to negotiate a modifcation to purchase order # 212-2009-M-29584 for an additional item. N PRE SOLICIATION NOTICE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Health Effects Laboratory Division (HELD), Allergy and Clinical immunology Branch, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505 has a requirement for one airborne-particle spectrometer. Please include shipping costs. This requirement is solicited as unrestricted. The CDC intends to award a single Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13. This product is an optical particle counter capable of measuring high aerosol particle concentrations over the range of particles produced by the NIOSH particle generation system and providing a high resolution of particle size distributions while using low input flow rate. A system for measuring the size and concentration of airborne particles is required that has the following specifications: 1. Must be capable of measuring aerosol particles with diameters of 0.09 to 7.5 micrometer. 2. Must be capable of measuring aerosol particle concentrations of up to 500,000,000 particles/cubic foot air. 3. Aerosol flow rate should be up to 95 standard cubic centimeters/minute. 4. Must be capable of resolving particles into 100 particle size channels over the specified size range. 5. Must be capable of collecting and storing data in a digital format that can be read or transferred to a standard Windows-based computer. 6. System should be powered by standard 120 VAC power. No verbal or written requests for copies will be accepted. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to an award of a Federal contract. The website is: www.ccr.gov.
