Description
STATEMENT OF WORK U.S. Department of State Workshop for Grantees I. GOALS The purpose is for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Procurement Executive, Federal Assistance Division (A/OPE/FA) to host a Grantee Workshop. The Department is consistently seeking ways to improve service to our customers, to improve current operations and prepare for the future. In our efforts to do this, A/OPE/FA has planned a Workshop for Grantees. The Grantee Workshop will provide instruction on the grants process from the solicitation stage to the actual closeout of the agreement. Presentations will be made by our Department’s subject experts, as well as invited speakers throughout the government-wide grants community. Our colleagues ensure compliance and support efforts to enhance efficiency in the services we provide. II. OBJECTIVES A/OPE/FA is seeking to acquire the best venue to accommodate the workshop for up to 440 individuals to include audiovisual capability, space for translation equipment and break out space for plenary breakout sessions. III. REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide: 1.Two-day meeting conference space for up to 440 participants in a conference style setting on October 28 & 29, 2009. 2. Location in downtown Washington, DC with walking distance access to the Metro transportation facilities. 3. Permission for official DOS signage at the event. 4. Permission for an on-site photographer to take photos of event. 5. Handicapped accessibility. 6. Parking on-site. 7. Copy, laser print and Internet-equipped facilities for attendees use. 8. On-site audiovisual capability, including hook-up cables, printer, phone access, podium, flip charts, easels, and microphone all with technical support. 9. Space for interpretation equipment. IV. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE October 28 and 29, 2009.
