Description
NAICS Code: 811219 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 10, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 for a service agreement on a ThermoFinnigan Element2 high resolution magnetic sector field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (HR-ICPMS). The applicable NAICS code is 811219. This specific HR-ICPMS instrument support and service are not known to be available from any other source. The EPA has identified Thermo Electron North America LLC as the only vendor capable of satisfying this requirement. In order to ensure data compatibility and accuracy the circumstance permitting "Other than full and open competition" is FAR 13.106-1 (b) only one source reasonably available. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist; and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provide the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability no later than 10 days after the date of this publication.
