- DESCRIPTION: 3 D Scanner for Search Analysis Research THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. FAR PART 13, SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES, ARE UTILIZED IN THIS PROCUEREMENT. THIS ANNOUCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEIGN REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-32. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is being competed on an unrestricted full and open competition basis. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as Amended, does not apply to this acquisition. APPLICABLE PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES: The Following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1 52.212-3 52.212-4 52.212-5, including 52.222-50, 52.233-3 and 52.233-4 in paragraph (a) (1) and the following fill-ins in paragraph (b): 52.219-6, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-36, and 52.232-33. Brand Name Justification: The 3D laser Scanner will be used to scan the geometry of 3D Objects (e.g. at the CAD/Cam parts) to determine the geometry of different 3D models and to scan anatomy. This scanner provides all the features and specifications needed for the Shape Analysis Research Project (SHARP) which is collaboration between researchers at NIST. Research shows that similar scanner from other vendors don’t provide all the necessary features to perform the work. Contract Line Item Numbers and associated quantities and descriptions of the minimum specifications required are listed below: CLIN: 0001: •Part Number: 7600-0000-2370 QTY: 1 Description: Vivid 9i 3D laser Digitizer suite: includes Vivid 9i (1750-108), Polygon Editing Tool, 2.2 SW Dongle, manuals, Cables, Field Calibrations Artifact and frame VB 20 (1750-723) & VB21 (1750-721), Tripod/Pan head package (9992-1177 ADDENDUM TO PROVISION 52.212-1 - QUOTATION SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS (b) Submission of quotations. Submit signed and dated quotations to the office specified in this solicitation at or before the exact time specified in this solicitation. Quotations may be submitted on the SF 1449, letterhead stationery, or as otherwise specified in the solicitation. As a minimum, quotations must include— (1) The solicitation number; (2) The name, address, and telephone number of the offeror; (3) Terms of any expressed warranty; (4) FOB Destination-based firm-fixed-price for each contract line item number, and any discount terms for those prices; (5) Evidence that the offeror is authorized by Konica Minolta to sell the Konica Minolta items specified in the contract line item number in this solicitation; and (6) If the quotation is not submitted on the SF 1449, include a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions included in the solicitation. Quotations that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. All quotes shall be submitted so that they received not later than 5:00 PM Eastern Time on June 30, 2009 at ricardo.cordero@nist.gov, with a courtesy copy to joseph.widdup@nist.gov. Faxed quotes will not be accepted. EVALUATION FACTORS FOR AWARD The government will evaluate quotations and award a purchase order to the offeror whose technically acceptable quotation represents the lowest price to the Government.
