Description
(1)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F3MTSS9037A001 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii)This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06. (iv)This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 337214; Small Business standard is 500 employees (v)This requirement is to purchase and install space saver lockers in building 173. This requirement consist of two line items. 0001AA - Standard Flat Top Personnel locker, 72" high, 24" wide, and 24" deep; one shelf from side to side (approximately 14-16" from top of locker); one hangar rod from side to side; one standard base unit 4" H x 24" W x 22" D, with no slope tops. Manufacturer DSM, part number, PDLF-24-72 or equal, standard flat top personnel locker; part number PDLF-24 BAS or equal, Standard Base 153 each 0002AA - Installation - 1 lump sum FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items Evaluation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. GENERAL: The work consists of furnishing all professional services, tools, labor, equipment, materials and transportation to purchase and install lockers in building 173. Changes and/or modifications must have prior approval from the Contracting Officer. The contractor is responsible for any damages caused to government facilities. The contractor shall fill out and return Pope AFB form IMT 3140 (consent for background check) for all employees assigned to the project immediately after receiving "Notice of Award." •B. LOCATION: Work on this project is to be performed at building 173 on Pope AFB, North Carolina, 28308. •C. COORDINATION: The contractor shall coordinate delivery and installation with the user, Point of Contact; TSgt Brena prior to starting work. The building will be occupied during installation. •D. NORMAL WORKING HOURS: The Contractor shall schedule working hours to coincide with the normal working hours of the military base, 7:15 am to 4:15 pm, Monday-Friday. The contractor may work outside the parameters of these hours with the prior approval and consent of the government. II. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The following outline of the principle features of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all materials to do a complete job within the intent and scope of the specifications, drawings, and contract. The contractor shall commence purchase and installation within 45 calendar days of the date the government issues a notice to award. 2. Assemble, deliver and install (per approved layout) lockers in building 173. Contractor will submit layout for approval with proposal. 3. Requesting 153 locker units will be 72" high, 24" wide, and 24"deep; one shelf from side to side (approximately 14-16" from top of locker); one hanger rod from side to side; one standard base unit 4"H x 24"W x 22"D, with no slope tops. Complete system will be tan in color and match existing lockers. Manufacturer: DSM Part #: PDLF-24-72 or equal, Standard Flat top personnel locker. Part #: PDLF-24-BAS or equal, Standard Base. ***Contractor that is submitting an "or equal" item shall submit specs or cut sheets of the or equal item for approval, at the time of proposal submission. d. Purchased Locker Installation - Room 125. Lockers will be bolted to the floor, and connected to surrounding lockers (i.e. back to back, side to side.
